Entreprise versions : CNAME, non-www redirection and cache

Hi, I get the enterprise versions and made the configurations as mentioned in the documentation. I still have some questions : [1] How to redirect the original language? My original language is French, if use CNAM fr.mysite.com http://www.mysite.com it does not work. And if i use CNAM fr.mysite.com xxx.yyy.gtranslate.net to redirect to your servers it works, but I do not know if is this the best way, and if you server detect that there is no translations to do. [2] When I use the rewrite rules mentioned in the documentation in order to remove the non-www redirection I get an erro on the apache server with the last line : RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-GT-Lang} ^$ # requests from our network will have X-GT-Lang header RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com RewriteRule (.*) http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L] But if I do not use this rule, I think there no problem with my configuration. Is it important to add this rule? [3] How dose the cache system works? What is the default values the cache parameters, and Is it possible to configure them? [4] Is there any way in order to consult the stats of the translations? Regards, Adel

Hi, 1. There is no need to create CNAME record for original language 2. Please try to delete comment ( # requests from our network will have X-GT-Lang header) RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-GT-Lang} ^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com RewriteRule (.*) http://www.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L] 3. It keeps the cache on our server. You can use google analytics but you must make modifications to the tracking code in order to track *.domain.com with subdomains. You can find more info here: http://support.google.com/analytics/?hl=en

Thank you for your quick answer, but still some questions : 1. but with language selector, if users want to go back to original langauge, they will be redirected to fr.mysite.com 2. I will check this and confirm you. 3. but when a page is modified when this will be impacted on translated pages in cache? 4. Do you have stats on the volume translated on your servers for different clients, and how can we see them? Thanks.

Hi, 1. Please make sure that you selected French as a main language in the GTranslate free module settings page. 2.If you have a problem with www redirection we can configure it on our server. 3. You will see translated version as soon as you make changes on your original website. 4. You can send the request by email and we will calculate the traffic for your domain.

Hi, 1. It ok now when I selected French, the first time I have selected "Français", which appears in the list and thats why I got the redirection to fr.mysite.com But the selector have a problem, the first time after the configuration in the panel, it shows the flgs, but after all flags disappear, and are replace by a blank. Here is my configuration http://www.djerbatourisme.com/partenaires/gtranslate.jpg and the result on my page (in the top left) : http://www.djerbatourisme.com/ 2. The problem is solved after I remove the comment from the end of the line. Thanks Adel

Hi, Please try to check your website for html validation errors and fix all end tag errors. http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=djerb ... ne&group=0 Also please try to install firebug on Firefox and check the element properties.
