Forum Archive - New language option not translating

We recently added a new language option (Italian) to our website. We edited configuration.php as before to add /it/. The /it/ extension loads but nothing is being translated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! http://ballasttools.com/ http://ballasttools.com/it/

Hi, Google is blocked your IP address. Recently they are providing very tight translation limits per day . If you want to continue using gtranslate pro version you will need to obtain google translation API key. If you want we can upgrade your GTranslate Pro license to Enterprise for one year for free.

Thanks Yana. We're still having problems thouhg. We looked at adding the API key to ballast's.com in the gTranslate pro configuration. I am confused how the rest of the translations continue to work while only the translation for Italian fails. From our understanding on google's API the translation limit should restore daily, or does this some how accrue over time preventing any future translations from occurring while keeping all past translated items in the gTranslate cache? Please advise... Thanks!

Hi, It loads the translated text from the local cache. If you check gtranslate/cache folder you can see the cache files for all languages. Google Translate API has a default limit of 2 M chars/day. You can find more info here https://cloud.google.com/translate/v2/faq
