This is giving me duplicate h1 tags and also hidden text which cant be good either for SEO. Please help the site is avinjection.co.uk Thanks

Update: I have disabled the module for the time being. I would like to use the extension though so help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I think you are using the free version which may add some hidden content using javascript to be able to translate your website. The code you have sent should not be in you HTML source and cannot create any SEO issues, because it is generated by JavaScript. Thanks!

Morning, Yes I am using the free version. Will google not render the javascript and then see the h1? Is there no way to remove this anyway to be sure?

Hi, Not with free version. Google started to render JavaScript recently, but I think you should be fine, since the code inserted is also generated by Google Translate. You may updrade to Enterprise version and the code will not be inserted. Thanks!

Hi, Since the last post regarding this issue was in 2015 (<h1 class="title gray">Original text</h1> being inserted with the free version of Google Translate), I wanted to check in to see if there was an updated code for the free version of Google Translate somewhere that I could use for my websites that doesn't insert <h1 class="title gray">Original text</h1>. It is believed that this inserted element (<h1 class="title gray">Original text</h1>) is having negative SEO impact for websites. I also want to reference this post regarding the same issue get-rid-the-original-text-heading-t4168.html

Hi, The tag is being added by Google Translator javascript which is used by our plugin. Our paid versions do not use javascript for translations.You can consider using paid version https://gtranslate.io#pricing .
