GTranslate - Conflict with Facebook?
Oct 12, 2011 1:29 pm by 1969
Hi, I have installed the module and the flags disappear as soon as the Facebook "Like" module appears (code provided by FB). Any known compatibility issue? Settings JQuery on fly, load Jquery YES (tried no also). Thx.

It can be a template issue. Where I can check that issue?

Hi Edvard, Actually it was working fine until we added the Facebook module (standard): www.ultimatedrive.com Flags appear then disappear except english. Thanks

I think you have some javascript which sets the width and height of the img elements to auto. When I reload your page sometimes it is OK, sometimes only English appear and sometimes everything is hidden.

This is the Facebook one. There is no way we can change it as it is hosted by them. Quite a common feature now, I suspect this problem will happen again. Any way to force the module to skip this?

Try to get the same plugin from facebook which uses iframe instead of javascript which makes all the trouble.

Can you just disable the Facebook module. I want to be sure that we are on a right direction. Now I have doubts that it doing the trouble. For example on http://www.ultimatedrive.com/default-form.html page you have both plugins and the flags are ok.

you are right, it seems to come from somewhere else. Surprisingly, the problem appeared the day we added the FB module...

To find out what it is you need to try to disable all the suspicious modules one by one which use javascript on the front page.

I just found that the homepage slideshow, once inactive lets the flags display BUT... This was one of the first modules in place and has not changed for more than 12 months (and glags were ok until now)... Mystery! There is no way to get rid of the slideshow, I have tried switching to moo effects, unload script (then slides do not switch).
