Enterprize - Keeping Google listings from Pro?
Jun 8, 2012 4:09 pm by treb
Hello, we are thinking of changing from Pro to Enterprize and have read the FAQs etc but are unsure how all the Google listings of eg mysite.eu/fr/..... , mysite.eu/de/....... , will get through and find eg http://de.mysite.eu/...german... ? We need guidance in adding CNAME values correctly, but will that alone redirect requests for Pro type URLs to Enterprize type, or do we need extensive changes to .htaccess as well - we get users from 40+ countries? Thanks. I may well wish to transfer our existing Pro license to another domain, I think I saw that was possible?

Hi, To keep the indexed translated pages you can use the following rewrite rule. RewriteRule ^([a-z]{2}|zh-CN|zh-TW)/(.*)$ http://$1.domain.com/$2 [R=301,L,QSA] If you want we can create DNS CNAME records for you. We can change the pro license. You just need to send your old and new domain names.

OK we would like to move to Enterprize from Pro. The live website is at lowemissionzones.eu and you kindly let us have a license for the development site at low-emission-zones.eu which is not for public access, it is on a different server. We will subscribe at the Annual rate of E159.00 and would be pleased to hear whether there is any rebate payable from the Pro License? Also, if VAT is normally payable, it may be better to have the site owner place the order as she has a German VAT number and does not normally need to pay VAT on web purchases? We would be pleased to have a little assistance in migrating ie re-direction code, CNAME and will test first at Dev in the light of my worries expressed about people's bookmarked links etc in this thread. Thank you. Trevor Bennett for Lucy Sadler.

Your development domain name should be publicly available, so we can work. Will write about the payment in private message.
