Website translation grows sales
If you live in an English-speaking country, you may not have considered translating your website content. However, webmasters are increasingly recognising the importance of including content that appeals to a global audience, and which addresses them in their mother-tongue languages. After all, just 27% of Internet users are English speaking according to the World Internet Statistics. Moreover, a study carried out by the Common Sense Advisory found that a massive 85% of online shoppers would only purchase from websites that discussed the products in their own language even if they were able to understand other languages used on the site.

Which websites are supported?
All the HTML websites are supported.
What is the quality of translation?
Free version uses statistical machine translations. In paid versions we use AI translations which are very accurate when translating to and from English language. For example statistical translation quality for Spanish to English ranked at 6 out of 10, with 10 being a perfect translation. Human translators generally rank at 8.5 and new AI translations hit 8.3.
In our paid versions you can refine the translations manually.
Do you provide professional translation services?
Yes, we offer professional and automated translation post-editing services at competitive rates.
What are the server requirements?
There are no server requirements! Your website can be written in any programming language and hosted on any web server.
Which URL structures are available?
GTranslate supports several URL structures for multilingual websites. SEO-friendly options create separate URLs for translated pages, allowing them to be indexed by search engines and AI answer engines.
Country-specific domains, such as example.fr, provide strong local targeting and are one of the best options for international SEO, but require separate domains and country-specific registration.
Language subdomains, such as de.example.com, are SEO-friendly, easy to separate by language, and do not require software to be installed on your server.
Language subdirectories, such as example.com/de/, keep translated pages under your main domain and are good for multilingual SEO, but require PHP support on your server.
URL parameters, such as example.com?lang=de, are not available and are not recommended for multilingual SEO.
Cookies or sessions are used by GTranslate Free. This option is quick to set up, but translated pages do not have separate URLs, so they are not indexed and do not provide SEO benefits.
How does the free version differ from the paid versions?
The free version gives you a nice-looking language selector that you can place on your website. It includes a built-in JavaScript engine that automatically translates your website into multiple languages. However, with the free version, your website URL does not change and translations are not stored.
The paid versions work as a translation proxy, also known as a Translation Delivery Network. We host the translated versions of your website on our cloud network under language-specific URLs. This means each language can have its own dedicated URL and be indexed by search engines and AI answer engines, helping you increase international traffic and sales.
What is a Translation Delivery Network?
A Translation Delivery Network, or TDN, is a translation proxy that mirrors your website in different languages.
GTranslate TDN technology provides a cloud-based approach to website translation. There is no need to change your environment or install software on your server to localize your website. You can have your multilingual website up and running in less than 5 minutes.
We translate your content and host the translated versions on our cloud network. Visits to your translated pages are proxied through our network to your original website, giving you a fully translated mirror of your website.
What is URL Translation?
URL Translation means that your website URLs can be translated along with your content, which is an important part of multilingual SEO. For example:
