Hello,
I came across an 404 error when I try to reach the homepage button after selecting a laguage (English or German). the url is /en.html and /de.html.
/en and /de works well.
The site main language is dutch.
I'm using gtranslate pro plugin.
Could you give me advice on this?
Sincerely, Maarten Boer

Hi,
Which version of GTranslate Pro you installed? If it is GTranslate Pro general version (gtranslate folder in the root directory) , you should check gtranslate .htaccess rules.
If you are using GTranslate Pro joomla system plugin please make sure that you enabled apache mod_rewrite in gtranslate general settings page.
You can find the documentation here : https://gtranslate.io/docs/57-gtranslat ... umentation

Hello,
Thx for your quick reply.
The joomlaplugin, mod_rewrite was already in use (with .html suffix) with standard J2.5 rules.
Following settings in module:
Operate with GTranslate Pro version - on
Translation method - Redirect
site language - dutch
And in plugin:
SSL Verify Peer - Yes
Detect Main Language - no
Detect User Language - no
Debug Mode - None
Site Language - dutch
I use Sobipro component on homepage.
Greetz,
Maarten

Hi,
Did you rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess ? Try to change gtranslate system module order.
If you can send me FTP access and backend admin access I can check the settings. You can use the contact form on homepage.

Al works well now without .html suffix in glabal Joomla comfiguration.
Will take the client some time to redirect all urls and change Addwords accounts though
Thx for your time, its a nice extension.

Maarten

Hello, if I deactivate the suffix on Joomla the home menu works fine, but the products with VirtueMart are not getting translated.
When the suffix is Activate the products works but no the home
www.rackart.com/en/
Any workaround?

Hi,
Please try to remove suffix via .htaccess file . Here are the rules
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !index.php
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(.*)/$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://rackart.com/$1/ [L,R=301]

Hello, thank you for the reply.
I apply the codo you give me. But I get a Loop Error.
inside the .htaccess i found this code:
RewriteBase /
## Begin - Joomla! core SEF Section.
#
RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization}]
#
# If the requested path and file is not /index.php and the request
# has not already been internally rewritten to the index.php script
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/index\.php
# and the request is for something within the component folder,
# or for the site root, or for an extensionless URL, or the
# requested URL ends with one of the listed extensions
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /component/|(/[^.]*|\.(php|html?|feed|pdf|vcf|raw))$ [NC]
# and the requested path and file doesn't directly match a physical file
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
# and the requested path and file doesn't directly match a physical folder
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
# internally rewrite the request to the index.php script
RewriteRule .* index.php [L]
#
## End - Joomla! core SEF Section.
Let me know.
