GTranslate Enterprise moved web hosting

Postby Morphology » Fri Aug 08, 2014 1:07 am

We have moved to a new hosting provider. We have a GTranslate Enterprise license, but I am now getting 404 errors when selecting a language other than English.

I have added all the CNAME records to the new server using CPanel

Site: urbanaccessregulations.eu Old IP: 181.224.142.126 New IP: 5.57.57.34

What do I need to check?

Does mod_rewrite need to be enabled on the server for GTranslate Enterprise?

Hi,
Please check your DNS CNAME records. It seems you didn't created them correctly. If you check for example ru.urbanaccessregulations.eu domain name with nslookup you can see the following:

Name: urbanaccessregulations.eu
Address: 5.57.57.34
Aliases: ru.urbanaccessregulations.eu

It should point to our server IP address instead of 5.57.57.34 IP . Make sure that you don't have a record with asterisk. If you have a wildcard record, please remove it.

Yes, we had a wildcard CNAME at our DNS host, thank you! This was redirecting to 5.57.57.34 I have removed it, but I still do not see any translation?

Dear Richard,

The language subdomains should point to our server. Please check your DNS records.
If you can send me access info I can check . You can use the contact form on our homepage.

This is sorted now. I was adding language sub-domain CNAME records on our server via CPanel but, after discussion with our hosting provider, it turns out we needed to use their Nameservers and add the language subdomain CNAME records there.

Thanks for your help.
