Also, I noticed that you don't have files in your gtranslate/cache/XX folders, are they writable? If they are not writable, it won't be able to cache translations and your API key daily limit will be exceeded and after that no translations will be available.

There are two options now. You can try to get another API key with a different account and try with it, or wait another day. You can check your API key usage from https://code.google.com/apis/console/ -> Traffic Reports.
