The free version was working perfectly. I added the Pro version and it quit working. Now all I get is the 404 file not found error messge. I sent you email with more information. Please Help! http://www.make-biodiesel.org

When I try to access http://make-biodiesel.org/gtranslate/config.php I get 404 not found error. Seems that you have uploaded gtranslate folder to somewhere else. Make sure it is in your www root folder. Also, as I can see you don't use SEF URLs for your site. It will be better to turn on SEF URLs and Apache mod_rewrite option in Joomla global configuration. After that you will need to rename htaccess.txt file to .htaccess and place # gtranslate config after RewriteEngine On line. Also add your custom code after # gtranslate config: RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^make-biodiesel.org$ [OR] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.make-biodiesel.org$ RewriteRule ^forum\/?$ "http\:\/\/www\.make\-biodiesel\.org\/index\.php\?option\=com_agora\&Itemid\=179\/" [R=301,L]

I had removed the software pending Integration Support. I re-installed the software. It still has the same problems. As for SEF - This is a large site compared to your example sites with many third party extensions added. I would prefer not two add to major modifications at one time. I have not tested SEF on this site; and I am concerned that some of the extensions may not be SEF compliant. Will your software work without SEF?

Make sure that the file name is .htaccess and not htaccess.txt or something else. If you are sure that it is fine then try to check if redirect works with a simple rule: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^idx$ index.php [L] ... ... When you access http://www.make-biodiesel.org/idx you will see your http://www.make-biodiesel.org page. If you want I can look into it for you. I'll need a temporary FTP access.

I pasted your test .htaccess code into the file and it worked. So I added a carrage return between lines and it works for the FIRST page. When I click on a language, then click on a menu item, I get a 404 error. In the free version it would serve up that page in the selected language. Rick

The reason it does not display the second page is because it does not translate the special charaters correctly. For example it is substituting %3F for ? Also it is changing the CSS somehow and the breadcrumb menu is not displaying like I want. Also, it is not displaying the iframes used by the Amazon affiliate ads.

If you cannot turn on the SEF feature, I'll send a special version for your case, seems some sort of server configuration difference. Turning the joomla SEF feature will not make your old indexed URLs broken. They still will work.
