On the Fly Help**Please

Postby geofcoker » Thu May 12, 2011 9:45 pm

I have tried to get the on the fly functionality working for the past two days, I have a wordpress site, I've disabled all plug-ins, hasn't made a difference, please can someone help me with the issue, I am not using the pro version but am planning on buying it if in fact the plug-in will work correctly on my site. my dev site is http://wp.thesweetscience.com, if anyone can offer assistance I'd be grateful.

Thank you, Geoff

You have javascript issues. Did you modify something? For some reason this http://wp.thesweetscience.com/wp-conten ... anslate.js is not loading into your site.

If you want to upgrade to Pro you need to check your site in Redirect translation method. The Pro version will work, since it doesn't use javascript.

I have not modified anything, can I manually put the code in the header.php myself?

Where should it be? all I did was install the plug-in and configure it through the settings, I have not touched or modified the code, if you can answer these questions so I can translate on the fly you have a customer, you have my word on that.

To be clear, it is not going to use On Fly for the Pro version.

Which version do you use?

by the way, I added the .js to my header and it killed my scrolling gallery on the homepage. The translation did work however.

Which plugin do you use for the scrolling gallery? May be somehow it doesn't let GTranslate to load the code? Can you check to see if the translation works on other pages where the gallery plugin is not visible? You will need to revert the changes back before testing it.

I can see that you are using Google Default translation method now. Can you change it to On Fly, so I can test?

If you want to get help, you need to do what I say. I have asked to change the translation method from Google Default to On Fly (jQuery) or Redirect, so I can see what is going on and you haven't done it till now.

I have, the thing is, I have my boss down my throat and when it's not working and half our audience is outside the US he gets steamed, I updated to the latest version, gave it a try and it still didn't work.

If you cannot wait for me to test it then you got one option, to upgrade to the Pro, so I can install it for you myself.
