i don't understand your documentation: Which .htaccess file do you mean? i have more than one.. one in the root folder and one in the wordpress folder.
I have added the # gtranslate config to booth but when i go to /config.php there is a white screen.

Hi,
If your wordpress website is in the subdirectory you need to upload gtranslate folder to the root directory and make appropriate changes in the .htaccess which is in the subdirectory.
