Compatibility With K2

Postby whyszren » Mon May 16, 2011 6:43 am

When I use Joomfish+Gtranslate(free version)+K2, I found compatibility problem when using joomla global SEF settings - wrong menu and 404 pages.

So I wonder whether Gtranslate Pro (I think for this version Joomfish is not needed?) + K2 works well together and no problem in SEF?

Thanks.

No problems at all. Not sure why you have problems with the free version.

Thanks, Edvard. The gtranslate free version itself is no problem as it can use google to translate. I think the problem is the extension of joomfish with K2. It is a known problem for the compatibility of Joomfish with K2.
If we use Gtranslate pro, It seems we don't need joomfish to manage the multilingual content as Gtranslate pro itself can do so? If yes, Gtranslate Pro can work with K2 well when use joomla 1.5 global SEF? That's my doubt.

Yes, it will work with K2 and global SEF or any other SEF extension. You will not need JoomFish, since it will be possible to refine/edit translations manually.
