Hello,
the language of the content of my site is Spanish. I wonder if I choose English as default language, if the site is translated automatically when opened it in the browser without having to select English from translation menu flags.

Yes, it is possible with the GTranslate Enterprise version. You will need to move your domain.com to domain1.com or es.domain.com and we will host English version of your website on domain.com.

Hi,
This feature is available in Enterprise version. With the Pro version you should use the language selector.
