Drupal 7 Install problem

Installed the free version + the GTranslate Pro version and experiencing 2 problems: first, all the Admin menus disappear immediately after being displayed - displaying an error "The requested page "/admin_menu/cache/b5e4e92d5e442c49d24da00a43935328" could not be found." Second, it doesn't appear to be working - in other words, even selecting a different lang, it displays the page in English.
Help!
