GTTranslate in folder

I have wordpress in a folder on our site. I've installed the free version of GT translate and it works fine. However, the pro version will not redirect. Our wordpress site is on www.mydomain.com/downloads/ However, GTTranslate wants to direct to www.mydomain.com/fr/downloads, when it should be directing to www.mydomain,com/downloads/fr/.
Manually entering the address: www.mydomain.com/downloads/fr brings up a 404 on wordpress.
Think this is an htaccess issue. Have installed everything and done all the necessary mods.. Help would be appreciated.

Hi,
You need to install it in the www root directory, not inside the downloads folder.
