language goes to Google Translate website

Hi There,
When you select to change the language, it brings up Google Translate and goes away from my website.
However, if you select 'disable safe mode' it stays on my website and translates the page.
How do I stop it from accessing Google website. (I works fine on Joomla as a friend is using it)

Dear Emma,
Please post your website address , so I can check and understand what the problem is.
If you are using free version try to switch the translation method from "Redirect" to "On Fly". Make sure that you are using the latest version of the GTranslate plugin.
