Forum Archive - GT Pro speed issues

Hi, We've basically always had speed problems with Gtranslate Pro. I'm hoping someone can take a look and give me an idea? I'm using the J1.5 Plugin and GT Free module. I don't have the root gtranslate folder, I have removed the rewrite rules in the .htaccess. Under plugins/system/gtranslate i have a cache folder which is (777) - under this I have a number of sub languages (it / es / fr etc) they contain files. the it / fr / es folders are all 777. take this for an example.... http://www.justshopok.com/golf-equipmen ... ct_id=6988 on PingDom is takes 4 seconds to load the page. put the same page through in a different language (italian?) http://www.justshopok.com/it/golf-equip ... ct_id=6988 this takes 22 (twenty two!) seconds to load... I'd really like it if someone could giive me some ideas.. Noone will wait 22 seconds or a page to translate and we're losing business. Thanks, David

Hi, Can you see the gtranslate cache files for example in the /plugins/system/gtranslate/cache/fr/ folder?

Hi Yana. Yes they contain many files. I mentioned this in my first post. Any ideas?
