WordPress & SyntaxHighlighter Plugin

It seems that GTranslate doesn't play nice with the SyntaxHighlighter (http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter/) plugin. Specifically it translates text contained within the [code] tags (which is obviously bad for code examples) and they lose their formatting.
Is there a way to tell GTranslate to ignore elements (and sub-elements) with a class of "syntaxhighlighter", or a facility to selectively ignore specific classes/IDs?
As an aside, the forum search facility here doesn't work. It always returns no results, even when searching for something like "language".

You can add class="notranslate" to the wrapper element and it will not translate.
