Editing translations of words for the whole site

We have two issues: When we try to edit the translations, it requires a password. However, it is not one we have set. We have particular words that we use on our site, and we would like the translation to be changed for all occurances of this word. Look forward to a speedy response

I've now seen the post as well as the email, many thanks. Is there really no other way than to put the <span>XXX</span> code in every occurance of the word?

Dear Lucy, GTranslate translates the text between HTML tags , so you need to wrap the text with <span> tag.
