Just purchased, read the txt file and followed the instructions.
Now, should the "normal" WP plugin indicate my pro version in some way?
Do I disable it and code in the PRO by hand into my page?
Any help would be much appreciated!

You need to use Redirect translation method and turn on Pro option in the GTranslate free module.

Have checked the pro checkbox.
can you please provide more info on how to use the redirect translation?
I was expecting a change in the user interface ... or the features popping up in the UI.

There is a Translation method option in the options list. You need to select Redirect and after you change the language on front end you will see the changes.
