Only translating first sentence in Custom HTML mod j1.7

Hello, I am migrating from j1.5.24 at lowemissionzones.eu via test site at lowemissionzones.eu/jupgrade j1.7.3, using latest version of gtranslate sent by you for j1.7.
You will see at /jupgrade/, on translating to (any language other than English ?), that the text in the green boxes top left of the map, only translates the first sentence, the rest stays in English? I tried taking the </p><p> in the middle of the Welcome box and putting <br /> but the remainder after the br stays in English.
Main pages generally translate fully, except sometimes where the text includes words in languages other than English - its a European site!
