Your HTML needs to be valid in any case and it is good practice. For GTranslate it is important to not have end of tag issues in your HTML, otherwise the layout of the translated version can be broken. It is possible that it is OK for some languages and for other languages it breaks, since sometimes it translates HTML tags (which shouldn't happen if you use valid HTML) and if after the translation the HTML tags break it will break the whole layout. If you need help with fixing your HTML I can help you. Thanks!
