File not found errors?

Hi Edvard, I have recently moved our website from 1 server to a new server following a long line of problems with our old server. After moving the site, I see the front end seems to be ok, I can change languages etc, however when I load up cpanel and look at errorlog I am being continuously spammed by messages like this: [Mon Aug 08 12:08:34 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 12:07:43 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 12:07:35 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 12:07:26 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 12:07:16 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 12:02:21 2011] [error] [client 119.63.196.112] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 11:58:08 2011] [error] [client 74.125.114.86] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home, referer: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... iolB6qV6xA [Mon Aug 08 11:57:57 2011] [error] [client 74.125.112.83] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home, referer: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... w3VoyKwQTA [Mon Aug 08 11:57:32 2011] [error] [client 79.176.109.61] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/images/joomla_logo_black.jpg, referer: http://www.justshopok.com/iw/home/golf- ... d-bag.html [Mon Aug 08 11:37:58 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 11:37:24 2011] [error] [client 74.125.112.87] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home, referer: http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... eZM5sAUiKw [Mon Aug 08 11:34:53 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home [Mon Aug 08 11:34:38 2011] [error] [client 66.249.72.101] File does not exist: /home/justshop/public_html/home IP: 66.249.72.101 is Googlebot?? i don't know why it would be continuously trying to access "/home/justshop/public_html/home" I cannot think of anything else I run that might cause the problems. So I wanted to check with you first. the domain has remained the same, I just have thousands of these errors in the logs. Also, I confirm that I still have many tens of thousands of cache files in gtranslate\cache that aren't clearing down. I have to delete them every now and then because there is sometimes 20+ GB of cache files. I've installed the latest version of gtranslate FREE, however I don't see any download to update my translate.php or config.php for the PRO version? is there one available? I'm still using the pro files from quite some time ago, is there configuration items i'm missing ? Thankyou David

Which version of GTranslate Pro do you use? Did you receive the last update by email?

Hi Edvard, I haven't received any emails for a long time from you. I couldn't even tell you which version of Gtranslate PRO I am using. Possibly you could send me the latest version? Thanks!

Just sent the latest version, further updates will be sent to your email address. You need to uninstall the old version and clear the cache and install the new one.

Hi Edvard, I removed the old version and uploaded the newest one you sent via email. Obviously things have changed since my last version, it now needs API codes and for some reason the API code I got from the google code site didn't work? When I set it to Redirect mode, if I select a language it just pops up in my regular 'en' language. because of the problems with the API limitations with google, I thought i'd try the BING translator. I installed the SOAP webservice, got a key and gave it a whirl.. I selected 1 of my products and changed the language to ES (spanish) - it then sat there with the spinning loading sign for probably 3 minutes and eventually popped up the page in spanish. i have checked the cache folders and 350 cache files a total of 17,240 bytes were created to change my 1 page into spanish ? Also. if I then select another product/page, it is displayed in Spanish... however, when I select a DIFFERENT language, German, for instance... the url shows: www.domain.com/de/product.html but everything is back in English..... Can you offer any ideas on this? Obviously I can't have it taking that long. Thanks David

You just need to wait for some period until your cache will become big enough to load languages without making you wait. Please check your cache folder size, it should grow day by day.

Hi Edvard, Thanks for the reply. I understand the cache will get bigger every day, but it does mean that if I turn on "Redirect" method that it is giving my customers very bad speed issues until it has grown. Also, I'm still not sure about the other issue, when I change it to a language (Spanish) it converts the page, and then I move to another page, it converts that, but then I change to French and it goes back to English... Is this due to the caching also ? Thanks David

You don't need to use Redirect while your cache is growing, however I highly recommend doing that, because it will help the popular content to be translated in the first place. Before you do that make sure that you have a correct robots.txt and sitemap.txt files as described in the installation manual. When you change to French, do you see the language /fr/ code in the URL? If yes, then it is also connected to cache.
